New Experience
My New Experience during SSP was filmmaking. I never took filmmaking at BB&N, but I always have loved movies and I was intrigued by how filmmakers made them. My SSP filmmaking experience was split into two projects: a creative short film about pens, and a series of documentary style films about faculty at BB&N.
BB&N Behind the Scenes
A few friends and I created a series of portraits of faculty at BB&N that often go unrecognized. We spent SSP filming them, interviewing them, and editing the videos into a 3-4 minute short film. There was a lot of content we had to cut, so we released a series of short form videos to share the stories we had to cut.

Pen Video
My friend and I produced a more creative film about pens. At first we didn't know what we wanted our film to be about, so we took videos of random things and places. My first "film" was a series of red objects from the North End. Eventually after brainstorming a lot with Mr. Gaines, we decided that making a video about everyday objects would be easy enough, but leave a lot of room for creativity. We spent about three or four weeks getting clips alone, and then another one or two weeks just to edit the video. We had lots of fun experimenting with different transitions, lighting, and composition.
